Katelyn Irene Watts and Bailey Rollins Braswell have known each other most of their lives. “We were friends in middle school and had many mutual friends,” Katelyn shares. “We remained friends and started dating our junior year of high school. We did not go to school together until college, but were always together because of mutual friends.”

Katelyn says she had no idea Bailey was planning to ask her to marry him when he did. “I worked in Nashville for a year after college and I was home last July visiting my family and Bailey for a few days before I was headed to the beach for a family trip,” she recalls. “We went to dinner at Phoenicia (our favorite) Saturday night and Bailey told me we were going back to my parents’ house after for friends to come meet us for a little bit before going out for the night. When we got to my house, he proposed on my parents’ pool deck and our friends and family came after to celebrate.”

Family is important to this couple, and having fun celebrating with them made their wedding day extra special. The couple honeymooned at Secrets Resort in Cabo San Lucas.

Bailey is a financial advisor at Edward Jones in Diamondhead and Katelyn is a CPA at Horne LLP in Gulfport.
